Individuals Breakdown: District 6 Girls

D6-AA Girls - Individuals Breakdown

The battle is on for the limited state qualifying spots for the AA girls in District 6. Last year's champ Rebecca Bierly of Penns Valley went on to take seventh in the state for a second straight year. It remains to be seen if anyone can duplicate her success, but there are a number of talented girls ready to go.

Somerset Area's Rosie Chan will be one to watch. Chan was third last year and then took 30th place at the state meet. She'll look to improve those five spots and get on the podium Hershey.

Central Cambria, the team champs from 2016 who will look to repeat, are comprised of some talented individuals. They have an interesting team that doesn't always have the same top runner. Paige Wess and Carly Kaschalk were the team's top runners at districts that are back this season. Kacy McKeel is also back from that team and should make even more of an impact this year.

Bedford's Allison Pittman and Forest Hills' Emily Montag are among the other returners that qualified for the state meet. Both should make a run at making the state meet once again this season. Bellefonte's Amber Shirey and Forest Hills' Kelsy Valko were just on the outside looking in last fall of states and hope to move up this season.
