Individuals Breakdown: District 2 Girls

D2-AA Girls - Individuals Breakdown

Holy Redeemer's Lindsey Williams peaked at the right time in 2016, winning her conference title and then following that up with a District 2 Class AA individual title last fall. She wound up 23rd in the state, taking home a state medal and a very solid improvement from the previous season. She's a senior now and Williams will be on to watch.

Honesdale's Mackenzie LaMorte also ran a really strong race at districts last fall, earning a surprise runner-up finish to Williams, leading her team to the victory as well. Her team should be strong again and LaMorte will look to have similar success to last season at Lakeland to secure another state berth.

One of 2016's top freshmen was Montrose's Hannah Perkins. Perkins posted a number of strong performances, including a pair of wins in New York (one of which at McQuaid), before placing third in the district and just missing a state medal in Hershey. The rising sophomore will be on our radar this season and she'll be a threat for a medal at states.

Others to watch in AA include the Western Wayne's Annie Skirpan and Paige Barillo, Honesdale's Tedra Harrison, and Scranton Prep's Abby Bowen among others in this deep classification from D2.
