Individuals Breakdown: District 5 Boys & Girls

D5-A Girls - Individuals Breakdown

Rockwood's Graycen Breckenridge will look to repeat as District 5 this season, but she'll have plenty of challengers, some of whom defeated her at the state meet a week later. Breckenridge, who was 70th as a sophomore, was 164th last year, so she'll be looking to get back to her 2015 form.

Meyersdale's Elise Hutzell was the highest placed D5 runner at the state meet. She placed 140th, just one spot ahead of Berlin Brothersway's Brooke Cornell. Hutzell and Cornell are a pair of rising juniors that placed third and second respectively to Breckenridge at districts and should be on a mission to reach the top spot this season.

Lorna Speigle of Johnstown Christian and Southern Fulton's Elizabeth Flaherty will be involved in tight team battle, so points will be crucial, so look for that to motivate the pair to compete with some of the favorites in the district.
