After running away with the District 2 Class AA last season, Mia Bellucci of Scranton Preparatory will go for a repeat this season. She won by 38 seconds and will be heavily favored to win the district again this fall. Bellucci placed 11th at states last year, and will look to move up this season in AA.
Dallas' Megan Borton was third in the district last fall. Now a junior, she'll aim ti challenge Bellucci for the title. The Scranton Prep duo of Adiya Golden and Abby Bowen took fourth and fifth at districts, respectively. That pair will look to bridge the gap to Bellucci and earn some crucial low points for one of the state's top AA teams.
Honesdale's Mackenzie LaMorte, who was second at districts in 2016, placed sixth last year. She could make another big impact again this season, her senior year. Western Wayne's Annie Skirpan and Anya Rusnak and Dallas' Kaitlyn Hodakowski are also back from the top ten in D2-AA from last year.
