As the defending champ, was this one a little harder" "I think with the expectation, it is harder. Knowing that the field is ready and that everyone is going after you. Last year as an underclassman, I felt that I could just go after it. I think any time you have so many talented girls in a race, you just have to be patient enough."
On her career: "It was a lot more than I expected. I can't ask to be blessed any more."

After 1600 and 4x800 prelims Friday, and a 4x800 final Saturday, it had to be a tough day? "For the 4x800, I'm estatic. We did real well. We concentrated so much this year on the relays. Yesterday, we were listing how many accomplishments we had, like Winter Nationals, The Penn Relays Championships of America, so it seemed appropriate that we did so well in that. We missed first by not even a tenth of a second, and we all PR'd and it was a school record with it, too (breaking the school record they set in the trials Friday). With the 1600, I knew I wasn't feeling it. I know that there are so many other girls this year. Last year, it was just me and Stephanie (Madia). So I just gave it what I had. But I was feeling tired from the 4x800 (Plus the 4x800 and 1600 trials Friday). I gave it what I had, and it's all I had."

On his strategy: "The strategy was to go on the last lap. I'm very confident in my sprint from 200 meters. I'm looking forward to Raleigh, because Indoor, I made some mistakes. But I learned some things I'll be able to use."
