Emmaus girls return their entire top-5 from last year’s State Championship team, making them the clear favorite to be the first AAA girls’ team to win back-to-back titles since Hatboro-Horsham. But Cumberland Valley, Latrobe, Liberty and others may have something to say. Jess Cygan, Liberty, and Natalie Bower, Latrobe, headline returning individuals.
NE#7 Coatesville\'s boys had to earn their Ches-Mont title in the state\'s toughest boys\' league. West Chester East\'s Duriel Hardy set a course record. Downingtown East\'s girls are almost as dominant in the girls race, but West Chester Easy Alycia Woodruff set the individual pace for the Ches-Mont League Champs @ Malvern Prep.
In what could be called the strongest small league in the state of Pennsylvania, the Ches-Mont collection of schools is once again serving up some great performances when it counts.
The Downingtown East girls and Owen J. Roberts boys win most events at the Pacer Relays.
Several events were cancelled, but the Coatesville girls still performed well, winning the team competition with 142 points.
The Coatesville boys made themselves known at the Phonenix Relays on 3/26 with a strong beginning to their outdoor season, while the girls tried to match them with some great performances of their own.
