Team Announcements

The Hounds and the Lady Hounds beat Reynolds 15-50 and 18-37 at home on Tuesday. The boys' race was won by freshman Jared Thomas of Wilmington (18:36), and the girls' race was won by Wilmington junior Rikki Brumbaugh (21:04). The junior high boys' race was won by Jake Burdett. The top junior high girl for the Lady Hounds was Taylor Cox in 2nd place.

The Hounds had some impressive performances at this weekend's Blue Devil Invitational at Buhl Park. Senior Luke Gilliland completed the 5k course in 16:38, placing 7th and setting a new school record. In the varsity girls' race, freshman Rikki Brumbaugh placed 20th with a time of 20:16, her personal best. The boys' junior high team placed 8th led by Andrew Sciuto (9th) and Derek Craig (36th)...

Freshman Rikki Brumbaugh and senior Luke Gilliland both posted personal records in the dual meet against Grove City on September 14th. Luke won the boys' race in 17:07. Rikki placed second in the girls' race in 20:47. Wilmington's Andrew Sciuto won the junior high boys' race in 11:43 and Kate Robb took first place for the Lady Hounds in the girls junior high race with a time of 13:09.

At the Big Red Invitational on September 11th, Luke Gilliland placed 3rd with a time of 17:19. Rikki Brumbaugh placed 4th in the girls' race in 21:14. The junior high girls and boys teams both placed fourth. Medalists were Kate Robb in 4th, Madison Huff in 13th, Hannah Winters in 18th, Ashley Miller in 38th, Andrew Sciuto in 5th, and Derek Craig in 40th place.
