2014 is shaping up to be a repeat of the 2013 season. Malvern Prep’s Jaxson Hoey and Germantown Academy’s Sam Ritz had several head to head confrontations last season that came down to the wire. In the October post season, Hoey and Ritz each earned one victory over the other. Ritz won the Inter-Ac title, while Hoey won the Independent School state title in the return race. Both Hoey and Ritz also broke the 16 minute mark at Carlisle last season, with Hoey earning the head to head victory. The Inter-Ac duo should also mix it up against the best in the state.
Billy McDevitt of Malvern Prep is a strong number 2 for the Friars. The senior combines well with Hoey and make up one of the stronger 1-2 punches in PA. Teammates Colin Wills and 9th grader Josh Hoey will look to make big improvements after strong 2013 seasons.
