Two of the state’s ranked teams in Class AA showed some ability to suc ceed when not everything goes their way, claiming. District 10 titles Saturday at Buhl Park in Sharon and preparing themselves for another run at PIAA honors.
“Today, it was very odd,” Villa Maria coach Therese Brown said. “The way it all went down and the way they all finished was not anything I would have ever predicted on paper.
“What’s kind of neat is to see that on a day where some of our steady runners don’t have that kind of race, that the other kids who normally we don’t have to really go to really stepped up. They stepped up, and that was good.”
