Based on 2014 numbers, Central Bucks West and Downingtown West have the best chance of representing PA at NXN in December.
The MileSplit NXN Northeast boys preseason top 50 rankings has CB West at number 6. 6th was also their place at the state meet last year with a front three that’s all coming back. Rock Fortna will led the charge with juniors Brian Iatarola and Declan McDonald following suit.
The 2014 edition of Downingtown West is ranked 11th, with the duo of Henry Sappey and Ryan Barton leading the charge. The 2015 edition will have Jaxson and Josh Hoey, which should put them into the top 7 places when you factor in their performances. The Ches-Mont league champions could have four sub 16 minute runners this season.
Cumberland Valley sit in at number 14 let by Yahya Soliman’s sub 16 minute personal best. Nick Dahl and Grayson Hepp lead Germantown Friends at the number 22 position. Parkland are number 24, District 3’s Hempfield are 32, Alex Milligan’s State College are ranked 36, state record holder Jake Brophy leads Central Bucks East at 38.
Rounding out the PA contingent are Council Rock North at 43, Cardinal O’Hara at 44, and District 12 rivals Lasalle are at 48.
