Southern Fulton swept the boys and girls team titles at the district 5 meet and will be favored to repeat that feat in 2015. The boys managed a 16th place performance at states, while the girls were 18th.
The boys will be led this season by Chase Varner, the district bronze medalist and 109th place finisher at states. He ran his best time of the season last year at the state meet and has a chance of breaking 18 minutes this season. Southern Fulton are the only team with two sub 19 minute runners. Meyersadale Area have two sub 20 minute runners and will need to close the gap to stop the Southern Fulton dominance.

Meanwhile for the girls, Emily Bradshaw will lead the Southern Fulton girls in their title defense. The team carries three sub 25 minute runners, more than any other squad in the division. Johnstown will have district title contender Maddie Sprankle leading the way for the challengers.
