Class AA Report: Defending champions have big weekends!

We are four weeks in and no one has managed to come close to catching the Villa Maria Academy girls squad. The reigning state champions were big winners once again at Foundation on Saturday and recorded a 19 second spread. They performed so well that if all the varsity races were merged together, they would have been the overall winners. It would have been the 2nd time they would have beaten all AAA challengers in a meet. Abington Heights finished 2nd ahead of Northwestern Lehigh.

Quaker Valley were victorious at the Sharpsville Invitational by 21 points over Norwin. Boiling Springs finished 16th in the Carlisle Puma Challenge race, with Northern finished in the top ten in the Champions race.

For boys, York Suburban showed their championship credentials by winning at the Foundation meet in their first visit back since winning states a year ago. They defeated last season's runner up Grove City and Dallas for the gold. East Pennsboro finished 3rd in the Carlisle Puma Champions race, one point ahead of Palmyra. Quaker Valley finished 4th at the Sharpsville Invitational with Zach Skolnekovich earning another victory.
