It's been a good weekend for Olivia Arizin.

The Cardinal O'Hara senior helped lead her O'Hara team to a state championship at the PIAA Cross Country State Championships on Saturday and on Sunday, she committed to to Georgetown University in Washington D.C. She chose the Hoyas over Villanova and Oregon. She announced her decision via Twitter:

Arizin specializes in the 800 meters. This past spring, Arizin beat a loaded field in the AAA Girls' 800 meters to win a state championship in the event in a time of 2:06.80, which ended up as the nation's 11th fastest time of the season.

This fall, Arizin won the District 12 AAA title in cross country, and on Saturday she ran 18:55 at Hershey's Parkview Course despite a sinus infection to take 13th in the state in AAA. Cardinal O'Hara won the overall team title with 107 points, the first state championship in school history.
