It was back to work for Jordan Geist this past Saturday, as the senior opened up invitational competition at his home invite in the final season of his high school career.
It was a great start for Geist, who dealt with some cold and windy early spring conditions, but he still managed a pair of strong series in both the shot put and discus. Geist threw a PA#1 195-8.5 in the discus as well as a 74-2.5. The throw in the shot was just off his own state record and a sign of big things to come.

Next up for Geist will be a trip down south to the Bojangles Classic (formerly the Taco Bell Classic). He'll be competing in "Friday Night Thunder," against a select group of shot putters. He'll also be chasing Reece Hoffa's meet record of 63-7.
