It was another legendary state meet for Ayden Owens of North Allegheny.
The senior USC recruit swept the AAA boys' hurdles for a second straight season, and he did so in dominating fashion. Owens rolled to the win in the 110-meter hurdles in 13.69, just .01 his PR. That time does, however, break his own PIAA meet record, which he set last year by running 13.76.
Owens then came back to win the 300-meter hurdles for the third straight year. He clocked a 36.68, which is also just off his PR. The multi-talented also added a silver, taking second place in the long jump on Friday, leaping 23-03.25.
Owens' 28 points helped the Tigers of NA earn a split for the team title with Bishop Shanahan.
