During the month of August, PennTrackXC is giving you wall-to-wall coverage of the upcoming cross country season! We'll be going through each district, previewing the top teams and individuals. We will be starting with a look at the team battles and then moving on to individuals in the second half of the month.
With our rankings, you'll get an "objective" stat-based look at each district, and with our breakdowns, we'll give some "subjective" thoughts on the action you can expect this fall! Keep track of all of our 2018 XC preview content HERE!

The District 7 (WPIAL) Championships are relocating from its usual nesting spot at Cooper's Lake to Roadman Park at California University of PA. Regardless of course, we're expecting the same intense competition for the state spots in the always-strong WPIAL.
The teams that make it out of the strong District 7 this season will have a great chance at success in Hershey. The reigning AAA state champs from Fox Chapel will be very solid again, but so will Oakland Catholic and North Allegheny. In AA, the door is wide open for a number of teams to take the top spot. Vincentian Academy goes for WPIAL title No. 4 in a row this season.
We broke down all the girls' WPIAL action in the links below:
