Individuals Breakdown: District 2 Girls

D2-A Girls - Individuals Breakdown

As Holy Cross ran away with the team title last fall, the squad was led by Lexi Walsh and Molly Repecki, who rolled to a 1-2 finish in District 2 Class A. Walsh has graduated, but Repecki is back for her junior season. As her team's No. 1 runner this season, Repecki will look to lead her team with an individual district title.

Looking to give her a challenge, though, is Elk Lake's Sadie Bosscher. After placing fourth at districts, Bosscher took 45th at states, the best of any D2-A returner. Lackawanna Trail's Victoria James was fifth at districts and then 48th at states, right behind Bosscher. Both girls will be in contention for the district crown this fall.

Perhaps the one to beat, however, is Hannah Perkins of Montrose. As a freshman, she was third in the district. She only raced a few times last year, but if she's back this XC season, she should be a threat to the title in D2-A.

Wyoming Seminary's April Kupsky, Holy Cross' Abby Sempa and Alex Tomaine, Lackawanna Trail's Madison Swanchak, and Blue Ridge's Karris Fazzi are among the others back this season from the top ten last year at districts.
