
Skylar Ciccolini has a big final season ahead of her. As a junior, Ciccolini took her throwing to the next level, winning her first state title and consistently hitting marks well over 160 feet. She traveled all around during the summer and fall and got even better. Her best came in the Bahamas when she threw 177-0.5. In Argentina while using a 500-gram javelin, Ciccolini broke the 180 foot mark to set a new U.S. national high school record with the lighter implement.
When we caught up with the Mifflin County senior this winter while she competed in a variety of other events, she wouldn't divulge exactly what "I have a goal in mind," she said. "I'm keeping it to myself for right now." Soon enough, we'll see what she has in store.
