5/20-Spooner 1:54.79-4:19.03-9:36.62 triple lead Lewisburg @ D4 AA @ Bucknell

Lewisburg won the boys and girls titles, each by a comfortable margin. Point machine Chris Spooner obviously could only contribute to less than a third of the points. Not to worry, his mates on the fastest 4x800 squad in the state went two-three behind him in the open 800. Spooner cruised to a 1:54.79, followed by Chris Moreau in 1:58.09 and junior Kevin Schoenfelder in 1:58.13. Spooner also ran 4:19.03 and 9:36.62 to take the 1600-3200 double. Plans call for Spooner to race two relays (4x800 and 4x400) and two individual races (800 and 1600) at States. (His sub-9:00 two-mile will stand quite nicely as his statement at that distance). Lewisburg won both longer relays, going 3:26.29 and 8:04.57. Shamokin senior Dan Wilk ran the fastest 100 and 200 times of the day, but it only brought him one win. His 11.12 in the prelims turned into an 11.23 2nd place to Dane Grandezio, Bloomsburg senior, who went 11.13. Wilk did take the 200 over Grandezio 22.61 to 22.91. North Penn junior Tricia Learn won the 3200 in 11:23.89.
