There will be a PIAA Track and Field State Championship meet this year, and though it will have a slightly different look than normal, a lot will stay the same. Namely, the qualifying numbers across the board have remained the same so there will be no reduced fields.
Each district/classification has a set number of automatic qualifiers in each event (with the exception of the pole vault) based on the number of teams that compete in each district/classification. After those spots are filled, individuals or relays that place eighth or better in the district meet final and hit the state qualifying time, height, or distance for that particular event.
Those state qualifying mark for each district and gender can be found below, along with how many qualifying spots each district/classification is guaranteed for the state meet.
