Watch Jenna Mulhern Drop A 16:29 In Alabama

Jenna Mulhern made some history on Saturday at the Garmin RunningLane Championships.

The senior and Furman University recruit ran a time of 16:29 to place fourth in the Girls Gold (Championship) race. That time is the fastest-ever cross country 5K by a Pennsylvania girl. She topped Marlee Starliper's previous record of 16:30 from 2019.

Mulhern raced aggressively from the start, and held strong, rolling to an impressive fourth place finish, and a big XC PR.

Mulhern's performance comes just a week after she placed fourth at Eastbay Northeast Regionals at Van Cortlandt Park in New York. She is set to compete at Eastbay Nationals in San Diego this coming Saturday, and her RunningLane performance is a good indicator she's in a good spot to chase another big performance.
