Moon Area's Jacob Puhalla controlled the boys 800 meters all the way through. The junior went to the lead from the gun, and rolled from there, running what is currently a US No. 6 time of 1:52.51 for a PR of over a second.
He was one of two Moon Area state champions on the day. Mia Cochran won the 3K later in the meet.
