911-Bay Shore sweeps top three, Scranton Prep wins Blue, Monks takes White @ PSU Spiked Shoe

Bay Shore NY came to the Spiked Shoe Invitational again, and dominated behind the 1st place finish of 2002 Foot Locker finalist Laura Cummings, now a senior, whe ran 18:09. Bay Shore took the top three spots, followed by Eleanor Roosevelt of MD in 4-5. Bay Shore tallied just 39 points in the White Race. The first PA finisher was Shikellamy junior Lindsay Scheller, 6th in 19:43. Dallas junior Lisa Giacometti of the defending AA state champs in PA, was 7th in 19:52, leading her team to a 3rd place finish. In the girls Blue Race, Hazleton\'s Maria Monks continued her early season winning streak, going 19:29 for the win. Her team was 4th behind Governor Mifflin and State College. Morgantown WV won with 58 points. The boys field was split into two. Scrsanton Prep took the Blue Division with 69 points behind the 4th place finish of Doug Gibbons, a junior, in 16:57. Wilson\'s Andrew Winterhalter won the race in 16:38. In the White Division race, Maryland\'s Eleanor Roosevelt tallied 72 points to hold off 2nd place Lewisbuurg by 34. Roosevelt\'s Mikias Gelagle was at in 16:37. Shikellamy senior Stephen Thompson took 2nd in 16:50.
