There's a new PA #1 in town, and he's only a freshman.

Abaas Hunter (Episcopal Academy) rewrote record books with a historic indoor season. He earned his status as the fastest indoor freshman over 200m with his new record of 21.97. At the end of the year, he was named the PA MileSplit Boys Indoor Freshman of the Year.

In March, Hunter was the New Balance National Champion in the Freshman 400m. He ran 49.52 and carried the momentum into the outdoor season.

Hunter earned two unofficial (No Wind Readings) Freshman Records at the Rustin Invitational on Saturday. He moved to the top of the freshman all-time ranks in the 200m with his lightning-fast 21.78. That time is good for PA #4 and dethrones Austin Kratz (Dock Mennonite Academy), who has held the top spot since 2018.

What's even more impressive? Hunter is the fastest boy in PA for the 100m with his 10.73 in the finals at the Rustin Invitational. This time puts him in a four-way tie for the freshman record amongst FAT Recorded Times.

Abaas Hunter continues to add to an already ridiculous freshman resume and has left us wondering... What's next for Abaas Hunter?
