SHIPPENSBURG, Pa - In the 2A Girls Championship, Evelyn Bliss (Union-Allegheny Clarion Val) unleashed an unreal 170-02 to set a new meet record, PA No. 3 All-Time, and earn a State Championship to boot.

Incredibly, Bliss recorded a nearly 15-foot personal best to do so.

Last week, she won the PIAA District 9 Championship with her throw of 155-9. That mark was a six-foot personal best. So why not tack on another 15?

Bliss' brilliance was courtesy of her first throw, and positioned her as the NEW US No. 2. Entering today's meet; she was ranked tenth in the Nation.

Her throw is the best by a Pennsylvanian since 2019 when Skylar Ciccolini threw 184-2 at The 2019 Penn Relays.

Bliss' took going out on a high note quite literally. In one foul swoop - she climbed the state leaderboards and national leaderboards. She will now go down in history as one of the best throwers in State History.
