Ryan Pajak (Ringgold) has quietly been one of the best runners in the state throughout the 2022-23 School Year.

He may not have won a State Title, but he was arguably the most consistent Distance Runner this Year - running some of the best marks in PA State History.

In Cross Country he finished second at the 2A PIAA State Championship before heading to Champs Northeast Regional and eventually Champs National Cross Country Championship. He earned seventh and 12th place finishes at those respective championships.

Indoors, he finished second at the PTFCA Championship in the 3000m, running 8:27.99, the fifth fastest 3k time in state history.

Then in Outdoor, he earned runner-up honors yet again. He finished second at the PIAA Championship in the 3200m with an 8:48.20. His time would've broken the previous State Meet record if Brian DiCola hadn't beat him to the line. He also finished third in the 1600m run with a 4:09.64.

So sure... he may not have a state title just yet, but he is poised to put together an incredible senior campaign. But before he can think about that, he has one more race on his docket.

New Balance Nationals Outdoor.

There, he'll be chasing a chance at history - as he sets his eyes on becoming one of the fastest 1600m runners in PA History. Can he upset his fellow PA Natives and move up the All-Time List?

Time will tell. But for now - enjoy the workout he put together last Friday in preparation for this week's endeavor.
