Victoria Rodriguez Improves on Her State Record

Victoria Rodriguez (Dallastown) already owned the Pennsylvania 2000m State Steeplechase Record but improved on its en route to finishing fourth with a new best-of 6:52.76. The Sophomore still has two years ahead of her - as she continues to press on and expand her state best in the event.

Her previous mark was 6:57.29

South Fayette Shows Prowess in the Relays

South Fayette looked brilliant in the relays throughout the weekend. The team of Roman Galioto, Alaa-Eddine Guetari, Tim Danziger, and Jake Borgesi opened the weekend with a 7:45.91 4x800m on Friday.

That placed them ninth in a loaded field, just off the podium.

The following day - the South Fayette boys returned in the 4xMile Relay and nearly pulled off the National Championship. They ran 17:45.45 for second. They finished just two-tenths behind Talon Track Club of Tennessee.

Matthew O'Brien Posts PA #6 All-Time

On Friday - Matthew O'Brien ran for a National Championship in the 5000m. He ran with the front-runners and followed them through a swift pace. He crossed the line in 14:43.83 for fourth place.

As a result, he moved up the All-Time Leaderboards and now ranks No. 6 PA All-Time.

Hayden Smith Clears 6-09 to post Second Place Finish

Hayden Smith managed a runner-up finish in the boy's High Jump. He went toe-to-toe with Riyon Rankin (GA) and Emmitt Kietlinksi (OR) and tied for second based on attempts. He cleared 6-09 on his final effort before missing at 6-11.
