NCAA Mens Teams - The College Rundown

Week three of the 2023 collegiate cross country season is underway. Here's what you need to know about NCAA mens cross country this weekend.

Division I | Division II | Division III

The Division I Ranks

Villanova and La Salle are Main Line Invitational teams to watch, Lehigh and Lafayette are set to face off in a Patriot League dual meet, and much more will take place this weekend in DI cross country.

Main Line Invitational Preview:

Villanova, US No. 25 (Ranking Via FloTrack), will take to the grass for the second time this season at Haverford College's Main Line Invitational. Haftu Strintzos, Liam Murphy, and Marco Langon are likely candidates to lead the charge for the Wildcats.

Keep an eye on Charlie Hazlett of La Salle. The sophomore split Villanova's 4 and 5 men at the Temple Owls Invitational two weeks ago and can mix things up again on Friday.

Penn can potentially add another element of competition to the Main Line Invitational as it's their first time competing with Villanova and Temple this season.

Lehigh VS. Lafayette Dual Meet:

Lehigh and Lafayette will face-off in a Patriot League dual meet on Saturday morning. Lafayette bested Lehigh two weeks ago at the Harry Lang Invitational. However, it should be noted that Lehigh ran an all-out race the day prior and appeared to be running as a pack, most likely getting a feel for the course at Colgate University (hosts of the 2023 Patriot League Championship). This Saturday's dual meet will most likely swing in Lehigh's favor.

Other meets/teams to watch:

Robert Morris will host the RMU Invitational on Saturday, with Bucknell listed to compete. Duquesne is the only other DI PA team in action this weekend and will travel out of state for the National Catholic Invitational at Notre Dame.
