Many of PA's top college teams across all three divisions will
compete at the 49th Paul Short Invitational this weekend, with a few colleges competing
elsewhere or taking off. Read along to see where your favorite PA teams and
runners will compete during the 5th week of the NCAA season!
The Division I Ranks
Mid-Atlantic Region No.1 Villanova, among others, will stand out at Lehigh's Paul Short, while No.3 Pitt goes to Indiana for the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational (Rankings via USTFCCA Coaches' Poll).
Paul Short Invitational:
Villanova is fresh off a 5th-place team finish at the Virginia Invitational and will carry that momentum into Paul Short. Team front runners Liam Murphy, Haftu Strinzos, and Marco Langon will lead the charge for the Wildcats. If a few more men on the team can close the gap on the front group, that would make this already dangerous team even more lethal.
La Salle, Penn State, and Saint Joseph's are other top teams that will race at Paul Short. Standout individuals on these squads are La Salle's Alex Sanders, Penn State's Evan Dorenkamp, and Saint Joseph's Colton Johnson.

Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational:
The University of Pittsburgh has hit the ground running this cross country season. Pitt will go to Notre Dame this weekend, exposing themselves to out-of-state competition for the first time this year. Which Panthers are the ones to watch? Luke Henseler and Jack Miller are the two that stand out among the ranks. Both men play a vital role in Pitt's growing success on the cross country course.
Battle in Beantown:
It is also important to note that Penn will be traveling to Boston for the Battle in Beantown meet. Keep an eye on front-runner Dennis Fortuna
