This weekend was filled with record-setting performances by PA Natives. It was capped by an outstanding Sunday of marks at the 116th Millrose Games in New York. Here are five of them...

1. Veronica Vacca Bests her Own State Record

Earlier this year, Veronica Vacca (Mount Saint Joseph) became the first female Pennsylvanian to vault over 14 feet Indoors. Now, she is running away with the record.

Vacca added another inch and a quarter to her previous best, clearing 14-1.25 to win the Flying Circus Girls' Pole Vault competition. She beat the field by over half a foot.

She currently occupies the US No. 4 slot.

2. Alli DeLisi posts PA No. 2 All-Time 600m

Alli DeLisi (Penn Charter) brought her middle-distance prowess to Millrose for the 600m and impressed with an absurd 1:31.26. She went out in a 59.35 opening 400m before closing in a 31.92 last 200m. Her time is currently a US No. 3, and it is also the 14th fastest time by a junior All-Time.

DeLisi narrowly missed the current state record of 1:30.40. Chanelle Price (Easton) ran that mark in 2008.

She finished third behind a pair of Montverde Academy girls.

3. Central Bucks West and Episcopal Academy claim 2024 Bests in the 4x800m

With their third and fourth-place finishes, Central Bucks West and Episcopal Academy put exclamation points on their current PA No. 1 and No. 2 positions.

As the only teams under the 8-minute mark, Central Bucks West and Episcopal Academy crossed the line in 7:55.23 and 7:55.24, respectively. Both teams also moved into the US Top 10, claiming US No. 8 and US No. 9 spots.

4. Jayden Mims-Horton finishes second in the 300m

After setting a State Record in the 300m earlier this year, Mims-Horton returned to the event again. This time around, he ran just two-hundredths of a second slower. His most recent 32.94 would be a state record if he hadn't already claimed the honors.

He finished second to Caine Stanley of IMG Academy (Florida). Stanley ran a 21.04 200m earlier this February.

5. Alumni Note - Talitha Diggs (Saucon Valley 20') wins the Women's 300m

The Pennsylvania Native and 2022 USA National 400m Champion won the Women's 300m in her professional debut. She ran a personal best of 36.21.

Interestingly, she joined her mother, Joetta Clark, as a Millrose Champion in the event. They are the first Mother-Daughter duo to win the event.
