The DVGTCA saw four amazing female runners get off to incredible starts this year. West Catholic senior Nicole Leach and junior Latavia Thomas, Wissahickon senior Krista Simkins and Great Valley senior Janessa Murphy all had strong performances. The league's first meet, at Lehigh University saw Simkins win the 300m in 40.8, Leach win the 600m in 1:37.5 (a 15 second win), Murphy easily win the dash in 7.1, and Thomas win the 1000m by an unbelievable 23 seconds in 3:09.2. West Catholic also cruised to an 18 second win in the 4x400, running 3:58.8. Welcome back track!
