The West Catholic girls and Simon Gratz boys took their top relays to New York and established some early season top marks both nationally and state-wide, while setting school and meet records. The Gratz foursome of Kenneth Talley, Khaliff Featherstone, Kevin Talley and Raishine Turner posted a 1:29.14 4x200 for a school and meet record. The Talley brothers and Featherstone were joined by James Farrell to take the Sprint Medley in 3:34.10, another meet record. Gratz also ran well in the 4x400, going 3:30.11. The West Catholic relay of Knesha Sheard, Christana Taylor, Nicole Leach and Latavia Thomas set a school and meet record of 3:48.57 in winning the 4x400, and a meet record of 4:01.24 in taking the Sprint Medley. The Gratz girls broke 1:49 in the 4x200.
