West Catholic won their first indoor PCL championship since 2000, but it was close. Cardinal O\'Hara was 2nd just three points back of the Burrs\' 133. Nicole Leach and Latavia Thomas were named co-MVPs of the girls\' meet, with each contributing quite a few points. Leach took the 200 in a US#5 24.78, the 60 in 7.69, tUS#8; both meet records; and the 400 in 57.18. She took 2nd to teammate Nia Ali in the 60 Hurdles. Ali\'s 9.00 is a US#7. Thomas took the mile in 5:23.71 and the 800 in 2:19.04, plus ran on the winning 4x200 and helped her team to a 3rd place finish in the 4x800. Ali also took 4th in the Long Jump, and the squad was 6th in the DMR. They won every event on the track a mile an under individually, and both sprint relays. In the Triple Jump, O\'Hara\'s Michele Frayne leapt 36-02.75. For the boys, Cardinal O\'Hara just keeps winning PCL titles that involve an oval (could there be a new layout coming at Belmont Plateau?). It was their 9th in a row as they beat Archbishop Carrol by 24. Junior Greg Thomas was a double winner, taking the Mile in 4:28.06 and the 3000 in a meet record 9:06.49. Teammate Matt Willard won the 800 in 2:00.71. St. Joseph\'s Prep\'s Juan Cave cleared 6-06 to win the High Jump.
