The latest example of the latter is Springfield senior Faye Korich, who posted a unique triple, taking the more standard 1600-3200 tandem in 5:19.1 and 11:17.7. But she also added the Long Jump, going 15-10.25, just 1.75 inches off the PennTrackXC Elite List. Mary Kate Phelan, Council Rock North, was a double winner, going 12.4 in the 100 and 25.8 to take the 200. Tina Grussenmeyer of Council Rock South captured the hurdle double, clearing the 100 variety in 16.2 seconds, and going 300 meters in 47.8.
In boys\' competition, Bayshawn Johnson, Harry S. Truman, joined a very elite group by clearing 6-08 in the High Jump. He also triple jumped 42-04.75. Shawn Minnich, Council Rock South, took the Shot Put with a throw of 51-04 and the Discus, sending the saucer 157-05. Council Rock North prepped for their Penn Relays DMR by posting a very fast 10:29.5. Pennsbury took the 4x100 in 43.9 and the 4x400 in 3:27.3. And Bensalem\'s Reggie Carter took the 200-400 double in 22.0 and 50.0.
