4/22-Bad weather can\'t stop great performances at the Butler Invitational

It was cold and damp. Not a night for fast times, long throws or high jumps. Well, someone forgot to tell the guys. Chad Radgowski, South Park, one-upped his rival from Southern Columbia with a PA#1 Javelin toss of 206-07. Max Brown of North Allegheny, who made a mark this indoor in the 3000, showed some wheels in winning the 400 in 2:00.0 and also the 1600 in a very fast 4:22. In the 4-lapper, he beat Ellwood City\'s Jake Walker by just a second. Walker also took 2nd in the 3200 with his time of 9:29.1, to North Hill\'s Josh Eddy, 1st in 9:27.3. Alex Henson, Penn Hills, won both hurdles in times of 14.4 and 40.0 for 110 and 300, respectively. Upper Saint Clair\'s Rob Rankin has to be hoping the weather in Philly is nicer at the upcoming Penn Relays. But his throws were still out there, with a 165-08 Discus and 59.8 Shot Put. And Aliquippa went 43.4 to take the 4x100, with relay member Tommie Campbell winning the individual 100 in a time of 10.7 seconds. Upper Saint Clair won the team title, with Penn Hills 2nd.
