It\'s a tough balancing act in the big Districts of 1, 3 and 7. You want a league crown, but you also want to stay fresh and sharp for Districts and States. Naaaahhh. Let\'s go for it is what Council Rock-North and North Penn must have been thinking. The two schools tied on the girls side, but on the boys side, North Penn gave a closing crown to retiring coach Richard Swanker with a whopping 265.5 points. Chris Parris helped with two wins in the Hurdles, running 15.00 and 40.37, while the 4x400 went 3:24.9 and the 4x800 8:05.80. Individually, Council Rock North\'s Brandon Pomerantz had an outstanding meet, winning the 800 in 1:58.6 (with North Penn\'s Cody Edling awarding the same time), and winning the 1600 in 4:16.82. Reggie Carter, Bensalem went 10.87 and 21.60 in the 100 and 200, and then added a very quick 48.72 in the 400 to beat Pennridge\'s Shane Tobin by a tenth.
Erin Berg contributed two wins for North Penn, one in the 100 Hurdles at 15.90 and a 45.21 for the 300. Council Rock North\'s Mary Kate Phelan went 12.55 and 25.7h for sprint wins. Tiffany Kulp, Pennridge, pulled off the distance double, going 5:14.14 and 11:34.1.
