The Chestmont league championships are one of the most competitive leagues in the state, and for good reason, as they have top-end talent and the depth to compete with the best of the state.
Aydriane Bowden had herself a day yesterday at Chesmonts. She competed in 4 total events and scored 40 points for her team (The most possible for an individual athlete). The first event of the day for her was the prelims and finals for the 100mh and probably her best event of the day, running 13.85 in the final for a meet record. She has already run 13.78 this year, which is PA #1 and U.S. #42.
The next event Bowden ran was the 300mh which she also won in a time of 43.09, and just over 1.5 seconds faster than 2nd place. Her final running event was the 200m dash, where she ran a new meet record of 24.23, which was just under a full second faster than 2nd place
The final event Aydriane competed in was the long jump, which she won, jumping 19-03.25 feet or 5.87m. The Junior won the long jump competition by almost 3.5 full feet and just over a full meter.
