PIAA District 2 AA Championship
Lauren Ellsworth of Lackawanna Train won the 100 (12.22 district record) and 400 meter dashes (57.53 district record). Allison Hall of Blue Ridge ran 2:19.71 to win the 800 meter run. Marissa Durako of Holy Redeemer won the 1600 (5:17.95) and 3200 meter runs (11:19.53). Elk Lake won the 4x400 (4:09.29) and 4x800 meter relays (9:53.03). Vanessa Munley of Riverside (2) cleared a district record 11-3 to win the pole vault. Emily Hughes of Holy Cross threw 124-8 to win the javelin.
For the boys, Seth Tarselli of Holy Redeemer won the 100 (10.99) and 200 meter dashes (22.29). Michael Bedell of Elk Lake won the 1600 (4:22.78) and 800 meter runs (1:58.69). Teammate Luke Jones ran 9:46.24 to win the 3200 meter run. Jake Padula of Dunmore cleared 6-4 to win the high jump. At PIAA District 6 AA on Wednesday, Homer Center Junior Angel Piccirillo won the 800 in 2:14.42, the 1600 in 5:09.99 and the 3200 in 11:17.57. She also anchored the 4x800 to a near comeback win, going 2:10 to come from 200 meters back, finishing second to Central Cambria by three seconds in 9:43.58. Paige Lumley of Richland won the 100 hurdles (15.83) and 300 hurdles (47.59) and added a gold medal in the triple jump with
a mark of 36-6. Allison Patrick of Phillipsburg-Osceola ran 59.27 to win the 400 meter dash and jumped 16-11 to win the long jump. Carolyn Darr of Penns valley won the 100 (12.80) and 200 meter dashes (26.01). Forest Hills ran 4:05.30 to win the 4x400 meter relay. Bethany Ledford of Huntington Area cleared 11 feet to win the pole vault. Jessica Delic of Penn Cambria threw a PA#7 mark 138-4 to win the javelin.
For the boys, Alex Woodrow of Marion Center won the 1600 (4:24.85) and 3200 meter runs (9:53.24). Nick Patton of Tyrone Area won the 400 (49.87) and 200 meter dashes (21.87 PA#4). Luke Gallagher of Forest Hills cleared 6-6 to win the high jump and jumped 22-6.50 to win the long jump. Brian Leap of Bellwood Antis jumped 47-1 to win the triple jump. Dustin Wilson of Chestnut Hill Academy set himself up to be the state leader in the 3200 meter run before the PIAA state championships for the 2nd straight season with a US#18 time of 9:02.85. Malique Killing of Friends Central ran 10.96 to win the 100 meter dash. Longji Yiljep of Westtown ran 1:55.54 to win the 800 meter run. Rich D'Ambrosio of Malvern Prep won the 110 hurdles (14.79), the 300 hurdles (40.01) and the long jump (21-10.50). Scott Rushton of Episcopal Academy threw 55-2.50 to win the shot put and threw 149 feet even to win the discus.

Cierra White of Engineering and Science won the 100 (11.97) and 200 meter dashes (24.05)! Michelle Davis of West Catholic ran a PA#5 time of 55.84 to win the 400 meter dash. Jazmin Booker of West Catholic won the 800 (2:24.55), the 1600 (5:24.33) and 3200 meter runs (12:10.36). Shalaya Sidney of Paul Robeson won the 100 hurdles (15.22) and 300 hurdles (46.09) along with the long jump (18-5.75, PA#4). West Catholic ran a PA#3 time of 48.05 to win the 4x100 meter relay and ran 3:58.70 to win the 4x400 meter relay.

John Trueman of Springfield Montco won the 1600 (4:27.41) and 3200 meter runs (9:57.90). Hiree Peoples of Girard College won the high jump (6-2) and the long jump (21-1.50).
Three Lower Moreland 800 runners grabbed the top spots and all qualified for states. Matt Duda led the charge at 1:58.38, with Dan Alexander in at 1:59.01 and Sam Sufler at 1:59.07.

West Chester Henderson girls won the 4x800 meter relay with a PA#2 and US#5 time of 9:06.45. Current US#3 Strath Haven was 2nd in 9:08.89. Emerald Walden of Plymouth Whitemarsh ran 14.33 to win the 100 meter hurdles. Eliana Yankelev of Lower Merion improved her PA#4 time with a 2nd place finish of 14.64. Lydia Ali of Radnor won the 100 (12.03,PA#2 11.94 prelims) and 200 meter dashes (25.05, PA#3 24.50 prelims). Tori Gerlach ran a PA#5 time of 4:59.28 to win the 1600 meter run. Hannah Grossman of Strath Haven ran a PA#7 time of 5:00.47 to finish 2nd. Alicia Evans of Quakertown ran a PA#2 time of 55.18 to win the 400 meter dash. Kenya Woodall of Coatesville was 2nd with a PA#3 time of 55.70. Norristown took over the state lead in the 4x100 meter relay with a prelims time of 47.57 and finals win of 47.63. Upper Darby ran a PA#7 time of 48.29 in the prelims.
Leah Nugent ran 43.11 to win the 300 meter hurdles, but had added a state leading 42.51 in the prelim rounds. Earlier on Friday, she had slipped at the first hurdle in the 100 finals, went down, but did get up to finish.
Emily Cable of Villa Maria Academy ran a PA#6 time of 44.82 to finish 2nd. Emma Keenan of Gwynedd-Mercy improved her state leading time in the 800 with a winning time of 2:11.82. Taylor Carcella of Downingtown East was 2nd in a PA#5 time of 2:14.19.
Abington ran 3:48.85 to win the 4x400 meter relay. Central Bucks West was 2nd with a PA#2 time of 3:49.97. Anne Holland of Pennridge cleared 5-7 to win the high jump. Haley Gorenflo of Plymouth Whitemarsh and Grace Giampetro of Villa Maria Academy both cleared 11-6 in the pole vault.
Jordan Matthews of Abington won the long jump with a mark of 18-9.75. Maddie Eustache of Upper Darby was 2nd with a PA#3 mark of 18-6.75.
Gabby Becattini of Methacton won the triple jump with a PA#2 mark of 38-7.25.
Meghan McGovern of North Penn became the new state leader in the 3200 meter run with a winning time of 10:39.17. Gerlach finished 2nd in a PA#3 time of 10:49.14. Sara Sargent of Pennsbury finished 3rd in a PA#5 time of 10:52.41 to finish 3rd.
For the boys, Central Bucks West ran 7:46.07 to win the 4x800 meter relay. Wellington Zaza of Upper Darby ran 14.35 to win the 110 meter hurdles. Aaron Willett of Coatesville was 2nd and ran 14.42 in the prelims. Christian Lupica of Holy Ghost Prep was 3rd with a PA#7 time of 14.45.
Ronnie Gillespie, Upper Perkiomen, ran 10.88 (PA#4 10.75 prelims) to win the 100 meter dash. Norristown's Tyler Smith was 2nd with the same time, but ran a PA#8 time of 10.86 in the prelims.
Matt Gilmore of Cheltenham ran 48.34 to win the 400 meter dash. Colin Dempster of Hatboro Horsham (PA#3 48.58), Mike Robinson of Downingtown West (PA#6 48.71) and Will Taylor (PA#7 48.91 prelim) rounded out the top four. Central Bucks West ran 42.40 to win the 4x100 meter relay. (PA#3 42.29 prelim). Downingtown West (PA#2 42.27), Norristown (PA#4 42.48) and Council Rock North (PA#6 42.61) ran state top eight times in the prelims.
Eric Futch of Penn Wood ran 38.35 to win the 300 hurdles. Willett (PA#4 38.12), Zaza (PA#5 38.20), and Ryan Hynes of Central Bucks South (PA#7 38.47) ran top eight times in the prelims.
Hong Cho of Wissahickon won the 800 meter run with a US#6 time of 1:50.92! Connor Manley of Central Bucks West was 2nd in a PA#2 and US#10 time of 1:51.50. Luke Lefebure of West Chester Henderson was 3rd with a PA#4 time of 1:53.19. Brad Rivera of Bensalem was 5th with a PA#6 time of 1:53.88.
Gilmore won the 200 meter dash in 21.98. Gillespie was 2nd and added a PA#3 21.65 in the prelims.
Upper Moreland junior Drew Magaha knocked more than two seconds off his PR, going a US#15 4:10.99 for the 1600. Great Valley junior Ned Willig was at 2nd in 4:13.86.
Glen Burkhardt of Unionville ran 9:14.32 to win the 3200 meter run. Abington ran a PA#2 time of 3:18.65 to win the 4x400 meter relay. Ryan Brumfield of Owen J Roberts cleared 6-7 to win the high jump and jumped a PA#6 mark of 47-2.75 to win the triple jump. Troy Makous of Radnor cleared a PA#4 height of 15-3 to win the pole vault. Tom Lang of Pope John Paul II threw 194-4 to win the javelin.

Chloe Schmidt of State College won the 800 (2:12.21, PA#2) and 1600 meter runs (5:10.67). Nikki Kerns of Altoona ran 45.52 to win the 300 meter hurdles. State College won all three relays, running 49.45 in the 4x100, 4:01.93 in the 4x400, and 9:25.19 in the 4x800. Abby Wagner of Altoona jumped 17-10.50 to win the long jump. Shannon Daniels of State College jumped 37-11 to win the triple jump. Teammate Lauren Kenney threw 149-1 to win the javelin.
For the boys, Wade Endress won the 800 (1:53.91, PA#7) and 1600 meter runs (4:17.37). Teammate Dylan Mountain ran 9:40.15 to win the 3200 meter run. Margo Malone of North Hills won the 1600 (4:56.77) and 3200 meter runs (10:57.16). Sister Shannon was right behind her in the 3200 in 10:57.51. Amanda Spencer of Hampton ran 45.02 to win the 300 hurdles.

India McCoy of Ambridge Area cleared a state leading 5-9 to win the high jump! Larissa Debich of Hempfield cleared 12 feet to win the pole vault. Shator Walker-Kimbrough of Hopewell jumped 18-00.50 to win the long jump. Jasmine Hays of West Mifflin jumped a T-PA#4 mark of 37-11 to win the triple jump. Rachel Serafin of Hempfield improved her state lead in the shot put by nearly two feet with a winning throw of 46-4.50. She also threw 134-9 to win the discus. Felicia Reid of Kiski Area threw a PA#4 mark of 144-5 to win the javelin.

Boiling Springs girls ran 9:29.73 to win the 4x800 meter relay (anchored by Lillie Brown, left in photo). Yaneshia Gaston of Bishop McDevitt won the 400 (57.79) and 200 meter dashes (25.61). Lille Brown of Boiling Springs ran 2:17.09 to win the 800 meter run. Bishop McDevitt won the 4x100 (50.50) and 4x400 meter relays (4:09.71). Stormie Hibshman of Delone Catholic threw 129-4 to win the javelin. Aubree Ray of Middletown threw 40-3 to win the shot put and threw 139-3 to win the discus.
For the boys, Derek Gaul of Schuylkill Valley took over the state lead in the long jump in a big way with a US#12 mark of 24-6.50! Tom Gruschow of Trinity won the 1600 (4:22.93), the 3200 (9:51.31), and 800 meter runs (1:56.82). Jordan Jones of Annville-Cleona ran 39.18 to win the 300 meter hurdles. Josh Nesmith of Bible Baptist ran 14.92 to win the 110 meter hurdles. Matt Silva of Trinity won the 100 (11.16) and 200 meter dashes (22.31). Trevor Stutzman of Kutztown threw 53 feet even to win the shot put and threw 162-10 to win the discus.

Stefani Day of Palmyra ran 44.81 to win the 300 meter hurdles. Penn Manor ran 9:24.71 to win the 4x800 meter relay. Reynah Spence of Shippensburg ran 5:02.64 to win the 1600 meter run. Central Dauphin East ran 48.23 to win the 4x100 meter relay. Deme'shia Davis of Central Dauphin East ran a T-PA#6 time of 24.79 to win the 200 meter dash. Milton Hershey ran 3:56.97 to win the 4x400 meter relay. Margo Britton of Dallastown won the shot put with a mark of 42-4.25.
For the boys, Kyle Felpel of Cocalico moved up to PA#2 in the shot put with a mark of 59-3.50. Kyle long of Hempfield moved up to PA#3 with a 2nd place throw of 59-2. Long did win the discus with a mark of 190-5. Felpel was 2nd with a mark of 175 feet even. Derek Hart of Manheim Central cleared 6-8 to win the high jump. Max Mahan of Garden Spot and Ibn Short of Milton Hershey were 2nd and 3rd with 6-7 clearances. Victor Cotton of Hershey jumped 22-4.50 to win the long jump. Shawn Mayer of Palmyra cleared 15 feet to win the pole vault. Jamie Colon of Donegal threw 189-7 to win the javelin. Imani Brown of Reading jumped 48-6.50 to win the triple jump. On the track, Logan Mohn of Governor Mifflin ran 9:25.30 to win the 3200 meter run. Sheldon Hannibal-Nixon of Wilson ran 38.73 to win the 300 meter hurdles. Khalid Guiden of Exeter ran 14.89 to win the 110 hurdles. J.P. McCaskey ran a PA#3 time of 7:47.50 to win the 4x800 meter relay. Conrad Weiser (PA#6 7:50.23) and Cumberland Valley (PA#7 7:50.62) rounded out the top three. Alex Yoder of Greencastle ran a T-PA#8 time of 10.86 to win the 100 meter dash and 21.99 to win the 200 meter dash. Ed Schrom of Central Dauphin ran 4:16.56 to win the 1600 meter run. Lanae Newsome of Brookville won the 100 (12.58) and 200 meter dashes (25.61) as well as the triple jump (37-1). Kennedy Weisner of Elk County Catholic won the 1600 (5:07.26) and 800 meter runs (2:17.84). Aisha Newsome of Brookville won the 100 hurdles (15.65) and 300 hurdles (45.87). Megan Dornish of Elk County Catholic won the shot put (44-4.75) and the discus (134-10).
For the boys, Patrick Anderson of Kane Area cleared a big mark of 16-1 to win the pole vault! Kalil Slaughter of Sheffield won the 100 (11.32) and 200 meter dashes (22.94). Bryce Straffin of Clarion ran 49.47 to win the 400 meter dash. Barrett Kemp of Oswayo Valley won the 1600 (4:34.70) and 3200 meter runs (9:58.03).
