Boys 800m / multi-event standout
Bland is one of the more versatile Pennsylvania athletes at the meet. His week included a 1.85-meter (6-0¾) high jump and a 50.36 400m in the decathlon, showing the range that makes him such an interesting athlete to follow.

Young continued what has been an outstanding AAU Junior Olympics. He ran 1:50.68 in the 17-18 men's 800m final, finishing second nationally behind Caleb Winders' 1:50.00. That was one of the fastest performances of the entire meet and another major result for the Pennsylvania distance standout.

Marquez-Ferber was another Pennsylvania-connected athlete who made his presence felt in the 17-18 division. He had already advanced through the rounds with a 1:55.28 qualifier, putting him among the leading athletes entering the championship portion of the event.

London was another PA athlete who advanced through the 17-18 800m rounds, clocking 1:55.58 in qualifying. Lancaster City Track Club had multiple athletes making an impact in the event, giving Pennsylvania significant depth in the race.

Diaz joined London as part of Lancaster City's strong showing in the 800m. His 1:56.47 qualifying performance put him among the top competitors moving through the 17-18 competition.
Girls
Girls 800m - 17-18
Salerno was arguably the biggest Pennsylvania girls' story of the day. She won the 17-18 girls' 800m in 2:06.54, beating a loaded field that included several other national-caliber runners.

Trusty gave Pennsylvania another spot on the podium, running 2:07.25 for second in the 17-18 girls' 800m. With Salerno taking first, Pennsylvania athletes occupied the top two spots of the race.

Evans added another top Pennsylvania performance by running 2:09.49 for third. That made it a remarkable 1-2-3 finish for Pennsylvania athletes in the 17-18 girls' 800m.

Keitel finished seventh in 2:12.71, giving AOC Ambler another athlete inside the top eight of the national final. She had also advanced through the preliminaries with 2:13.25, showing consistency across both rounds.

AOC Ambler also showed its depth in the younger girls' divisions, finishing seventh in the 12-year-old girls' 4x800 in 12:09.70. While not as eye-catching as the older girls' individual 800m performances, it is another example of Pennsylvania clubs competing successfully on the national stage.
