Defending AAA state champ Shawn Cavanaugh is 4th in 17:07, but his Mount Lebanon team looks good, scoring just 83 points to defeat Altoona by 46. Hempfield JR Lauren Bricker wins the meet for the second year in a row over North Allegheny's Stephanie Madia (19:08-19:37), but Madia's North Allegheny team looks good with a 26 point win over Greensburg Salem. Mt. Lebanon's Lauren Wood, a sophomore, also runs a 19:37.
