It was a day of bright sunshine, and even more brilliant performances. I covered the (10-hour) Pan-Ram invitational, and arrived home to find results from quite a few meets waiting to be posted. Thank you! That was the highest priority, so everything we have is on, plus the Morgan State from MD. More results, summaries Sunday. Pix and rankings Mon-Tue-Wed. (Photo:Altoona\'s Rachel Gehret cleared 5-06 to win the HJ, and also took 1st in the LJ and 2nd in the 200, plus helped her 4x100 team to the win. But she wasn\'t alone in her multitasking - because Northern\'s Amy Backel and Wilson\'s Shawn Smith were winning medals all day, as well.)

Cardel Johnson of West Allegheny is just a junior, and based on his performance in his first meet of the season, he has to be considered one of the ones to watch in the 100 finals at states. But we\'re getting ahead of ourselves.
