Last Chance Meet
Where: Bedford High School Track
When: Friday May 9th 2014
Who: All athletes trying to qualify for Districts in a specific event.
Cost: $5 per athlete to help cover cost of starter/timers etc... Athlete will be able to complete in up to 4 events. Up to $20 dollars MAXIMUM entry fee per gender team.
This meet is designed for athletes that have yet to qualify for a specific event. Example. If J. Doe has qualified in the 100m dash, he/she should not be allowed to run the 100m dash. J. Doe would be able to compete in events she/he has not qualified in. There will be no relays. No awards will be given and no team score will be kept.
The Meet will start at 3:45 with the javelin (both genders together). Our javelin is far removed from the track and we like to start it a little early so that athletes that want to do other events may throw and get back to the track. The rest of the meet will start at 4:00.
Throwing Events will be as follows:
3:45 Javelin (Boys and Girls)
Discus (Boys & Girls)
Shot will be last
4:00 Track Events:
Track Starts with 110 HH and continues with regular order of events without 400R, 1600R, and 3200R
There will be a concession stand with drinks and food.
Please contact me if you plan to come ( HYPERLINK "mailto:crepsb@bedford.k12.pa.us" crepsb@bedford.k12.pa.us) and approximate how many athletes by Thursday so that we know how to prepare. I know some have meets on Thursday and their numbers may change.
I have been in contact with Jeff Batzel. His plan (with coaches help) is to have any provisional qualifying marks for event not filled in place for this meet.
Last year we had 22 Girls and 16 Boys event qualifiers in the meet.
