Two years ago Jason Weller was cut from the Boyertown High boys soccer team. Since then he has finished 11th and 4th at states in XC. This is his last year, and he wants to improve even more. Photo: Weller at the 2005 PIAA State Championships
The course was not at all unlike the FootLocker West Regional qualifying course out in Walnut, CA that I ran at the last two years. The infamous hills, Switchback, Poop-Out and Reservoir that many runners from the West wake up at night in a cold sweat...(Hannah Granger, 2nd from right) with some of her Radnor teammates.)
The Radnor girls\' cross-country team is loaded with standouts this season. Still, coach Tom Flanagan wanted to start the campaign without much hype and attention. That turned out to be impossible. The Raiders were ranked 14th in the country in a Super 25 preseason poll by the Harrier, a magazine produced by running expert Marc Bloom.
