ATTENTION ALL MIDDLE SCHOOL TRACK COACHES & ATHLETIC DIRECTORS:
Oil City has established a Middle School Track Invitational which will hopefully become as popular as our varsity invitational each year. This is for 7th/8th graders only. The information is below.
DATE: Thursday, May 12, 2016
TIME: Field events 3:45, Running events 3:45
WHERE: Oil City Area Senior High School All-Weather Track
EVENTS: Each school may enter 3 athletes in each event, and 1 relay team in each
relay. Each athlete may only compete in 3 individual events and one relay.
COACHES MEETING: 3:15 at the finish line for information and scratches.
START: Field events and Running events begin at 3:45 sharp.
FIELD EVENTS: High Jump (starting ht. Boys 40 Girls 39), Long Jump, Triple
Jump, Discus, Shot Put (No Javelin or Pole Vault)
ORDER OF EVENTS ON NEXT PAGE
ENTRY FEE: $45 for one team (6 or more of each gender), $80 for both boys and girls teams, $8 for individuals (under 6 per ender). Checks made out to Blue and White Booster Club can be mailed to Rick Fletcher, Oil City HS, 10 Lynch Blvd., Oil City PA 16301.
ENTRIES ON www.pa.milesplit.com by May 9, please (may enter starting April 1)
AWARDS: Ribbons for places 1-6. Team plaques for winning girls and boys teams.
Concessions and t-shirts will be on sale at the concession stand. Menu: Hot Dogs, Pizza, Soft Pretzels, Nachos, Popcorn, Candy, Pop, Water, Gatorade, and more!
NO SPIKES LONGER THAN 3/16 INCH PLEASE.
ATTENDANCE: Please email Rick Fletcher, Athletic Director, if you plan to attend at oilcityad@mail.ocasd.org.
CANCELLATION: In case of severe weather, please leave contact information on the attendance email to Rick Fletcher and your expected departure time from your school, so we can contact you in case of severe weather cancellation.
