Coatesville doesn't rebuild. They reload.  Cross country rings true in Wellsboro. Experienced coach, expert spotters, and soccer lead North East to 9th state title.  Carly Seymour reclaimed her state AA title (she had won as a sophomore) and led her team to the school's first-ever state title in any sport.Note from PIAA and RunHigh. Posted results replace any and all preliminary results that were posted or distributed at the meet. Top 25 medalists and team awards were correct as presented in Hershey. It was a day that went of form in many ways, but in others, it was a big surprise. The day of first s included team champs for the girls of Central Cambria in AA, Emmaus in AAA, and the boys of North Penn in AAA. AA North East boys captured their 9th between the boys and girls. In the individual races, Carly Seymour led her championship team with one point and a monster 17:49 for her 2nd state XC title. Neely Spence (in photo by Timothy O'Dowd, Irishrunner.com) took off at 3K to repeate. Joe Beveridge captured the AA crown, and Mark Dennin repeated for Boyertown in AAA. Favorite Vince McNally of Conestoga Valley simply had a bad day. See Side Note in inside coverage.

Nov 10-19: Dennin 3rd, Lutz 10th in OH, PA 4th in both|PCL team wins Jesuit in NYC Nov 17, 2007

Highlights from Nov 10-19: PA finished 4th in both the girls and boys races at the annual Mid-East Regional Champs 11/17 in Ohio. Boyertown's Mark Dennin (in photo by Liz Bollens) was the lead PA guy in third.  Nazareth Academy's Megan Lutz led the girls in 10th. Also on 11/17, the Girard Avenue Hawks won the Jesuits Schools Champs with 21 points behind a 1-2-3 finish at Van Cortlandt Park 2.5 mile loop. On Nov 17, Slippery Rock was the top men's team at 9th, and Bloomsburg was the tom women's team at 15th in the NCAA Division II Champs. Also on the 17th, three PA schools finished in the top ten at the NCAA Division III Champs, with Haverford 2nd, Allegheny 7th and Carnegie Mellon 9th. The Dickinson College women were the top PA team, finishing 13th. Earlier results posted from Mid-Atlantic AAU 11/10. Also on 11/10, in her annual tune-up to the NE Foot Locker regional Nov 24th, Shippensburg senior Neely Spence ran a very quick 17:19 in the New York Road Runners XC Championships at Van Cortlandt Park - the 4th best all-time. Boiling Springs senior Kara Millhouse ran her best time ever on the course, going 18:47. Also in New York was the Germantown Friends team, who are tuning up for the NTN North East Regional, also on the 24th. Max Kaulbach - in a 'if I were to run Foot Lockers mode' - went 15:43. Jake McKenzie was in at 16:05, Isaac Ortiz at 16:24 and Gus McKenzie at 16:35.
