2018 Inter-Ac MS Track & Field Championships

Germantown Academy is excited to host the Inter-Ac Middle School Track & Field Championships. Please read through the information below:

TUESDAY, MAY 8 @ GERMANTOWN ACADEMY

2:15PM start for Long Jump & High Jump

** Please arrive early so your athletes can warm up and we can start on time**

2:15PM - High Jump, Girls followed by Boys

2:15PM - OPEN Long Jump 2 pits, divided by gender



3:00PM start for running events and shot put

3:00PM - OPEN Shot Put 2 circles, divided by gender

ORDER OF RUNNING EVENTS

100M Hurdles
110M Hurdles
1600M Run**
100M Dash
400M Run
800M Run
200M Dash
"B" and "C" 4x100M Relay
"A" 4x100M Relay

**Depending on number of entries, 1600M heats may be combined and run co-ed



IMPORTANT NOTES

2018 CHANGE: Athletes may compete in 3 events and the 4x100M Relay

2018 CHANGE: Athletes may double in the 800M and 1600M

Running events will be seeded by time, regardless of grade level

Heats will run from slow to fast, with girls preceding boys

All running events are Finals by time (athletes may place out of any heat)

4x100 relay teams will be single gender but may have athletes from multiple grade levels

* 2018 CHANGE: Schools may enter "B" and "C" teams for the 4x100, but only the "A" team will be able to place


* Heats will run slow to fast in the relay as well (to allow athletes in the 200 some time to recover)


Ribbons will be presented to the top four girls and top five boys in each event

* After races, runners who have an opportunity to finish in the top four for girls and top five for boys will wait at the finish line until released.


THIS IS ESSENTIAL TO BE ABLE TO RUN THE MEET: Each school must provide two volunteers to help run the meet. Please send those names to peter.jennings@germantownacademy.org so they can be assigned an event.



Entries will be done through MileSplit/PennTrack

Make sure your team roster is up-to-date on MileSplit/PennTrack

Entries must be submitted by Saturday, May 5, 4:59PM. Password was sent out to coaches.

o All running events need seed times

o Field events do not need entry marks

o Remember to enter relays with seed times - you do not need to enter names

- Be sure to enter B and C teams if you will run more than one relay team.
