2018 Mid-Atlantic Prep League Cross Country Championships 2018

Mercersburg, PA

Meet Information

The eighteenth annual MAPL Cross-Country Championship will be conducted at Mercersburg Academy on Wednesday October 31st, with a bad weather date of Thursday November 1st. The varsity Boys race is scheduled to start at 1:30pm. Following the completion of the Boys varsity race, the Girls varsity race will begin at 2:00pm. The Futures Race, a mixed gender Futures race, will start at approximately 2:30pm.

The route will be marked in accordance with National High School Federation rules which dictate the use of colored flags to designate changes of direction. The flags will be supplemented by a white marking on the ground in some areas to aid runners. Course marshals will also be present at critical points to guide runners.

Each runner will be assigned a bib number and will be required to wear the number pinned to the front of their jersey.

The runners who come to the line for the varsity race will be declared as your Varsity seven. No need to declare these runners prior to them coming to the line. Runners who do not compete in the Varsity races may compete in the mixed gender Futures race.

Results will be posted immediately after the conclusion of each race and there will be a 25-minute protest period in which to challenge the results. At the conclusion of the protest period and after challenges have been reviewed by the head referee, the results will be considered final.

Please tell you runners that they MUST not go near the finish line before their race!!!!!

This could result in a false read of the chip in their bibs.

If you have, any questions please contact Lauren Hoffman or William Sodano as soon as possible. hoffmanl@mercersburg.edu wsodano@peddie.org
