W&J Twilight 3200 Tune-up is scheduled for Nov. 13, 2018 at Cameron Stadium just off of Washington & Jefferson College's campus. This event is open to grades 9-12 running a 3200, with a separate 2,400-meter run for 4th through 8th grades.
The cost is $25.00 per entry. Unfortunately, we will not be able to set up online payments for this meet as was initially planned. All entry fees will be due at the meet via cash/check. Checks will be made payable to "Washington & Jefferson College" and on the memo line, write "W&J Twilight 3200." The first 50 people to register will receive a free shirt with their entry! Tell your friends and coaches!
All athletes register as unattached. Grad Year required. Please use HS graduation year when registering:
2019- 12th, 2020- 11th, 2021- 10th, 2022- 9th, 2023- 8th, 2024- 7th, 2025- 6th, 2026- 5th, 2027- 4th
The goal of this event is to have competitive 3200 races on the track among high school athletes (9-12). They are in phenomenal shape from the cross country season and want to run a FAST 3200 under the lights against other local high school kids. It will be a very fun atmosphere with music playing, an announcer calling the race, concessions, etc. The winner of each race with receive a W&J Twilight 3200 Champion T-Shirt.
This can be used as a tune-up race for runners that plan to compete at the Footlocker Regional or Nike Team Regional races later on in November, or for high school kids that just want to see what they can do in a 3200 on the track in peak shape. That's when the idea came to open up an opportunity for kids of younger ages (fourth - eighth grade) to compete in a (2400) 1.5 mile race before all the 3200s get underway.
