All coaches need to submit their teams entry information on www.pa.milesplit.com.

Registration can be submitted anytime mid April thru Tuesday, April 28th at 10:00pm. Included in this email packet is a page on how to submit information to pa.milesplit for anyone not familiar with the site.

Coudersport Area School District will permit the use of 1/8 or 1/4 inch (recessed) pyramid spikes only on the track, long jump, high jump, javelin, and pole vault runways. Any participant caught using any other length spike or type of spike will be disqualified from the meet (unsportsmanlike conduct). Only water is permitted on the track or in the infield. No Gatorade, pop, coffee, food, gum, candy, etc. will be permitted on the track or in the infield. Please tell your athletes and workers.

Coudersport will provide the starting blocks.

Absolutely no food or beverages except water is permitted on the track or inside

the track (infield).

No spectators or coaches are permitted inside the track (infield). Visiting coaches are asked to help police the infield. Athletes participating and coaches are permitted inside the track during competition in designated areas only.

Locker room space will be available but limited so come as prepared as possible.

Spectators and coaches are prohibited from designated areas located by the field events.

All throwing implements and pole vault poles are to be weighed prior to competing. This will be done at the room located under the grandstands by the finish line.

Restrooms are located at the concession stand end of the stadium.

Contestants must use the upper concession stand gate for entering the bullpen area located on the inside of the infield. Only contestants, pole vault workers, and officials may use this entrance.

Only one scorekeeper from each team is permitted in the press box. All other team statisticians are not permitted in the press box due to a lack of space.

Practice throwing, jumping, and vaulting can only be done at the event site when the

event judge is present for supervision. Once an event is completed no practicing is permitted. Reminder that the bar will not be up when practicing high jump or pole vault.

We will have a concession stand available throughout the day. However, any other meal arrangements will be the responsibility of your own school.

Team tents or pavilions may be set up outside of the fenced off areas around the stadium complex.

When you arrive at the meet each coach will be given a scratches form. This form must immediately be filled out and returned to the official timer. No scratches/changes will be made after forms are turned in.

Schools are reminded that it is their responsibility to provide adequate and proper supervision of their track teams. Proper use of any and all of the host facilities and equipment should be carefully considered. Your cooperation will be appreciated.

All rules established by PIAA for track meets will be enforced.

Five officials will be present and their decisions will be final in the event of conflicts.

The meet will follow the regular PIAA order of events except for the following modifications. Note: Girls pole vault will precede boys pole vault; throwing will begin with boys javelin and girls disc followed by girls javelin boys disc, followed by both girls and boys shot putt (we have two pads so shots will be held at the same time.).

All events are FINALS. Best times place using the electronic timing device. All field event people will have four (4) tries/ attempts. High jump and pole vault tries are final. Long and triple jumps will be run using the OPEN PIT format.

The 1st six places will receive a medal. The first 3 relay teams will receive medals also. Athletes may pick up their medals approximately 15 minutes after the conclusion of the event. Awards will be located in the room under the grandstands across from the finish line. Since we are trying to provide individuals with an opportunity for personal bests and district qualifying performances no team awards will be given.

Only meet officials will be permitted at the finish line, competition areas, and on the infield. All spectators are to remain in the grandstand area.

Use of cell phones and other electronic devices is prohibited in restricted areas.

Times for the meet will be done electronically. All times are final and official.
