Coaches and Athletic Directors:
Franklin Regional high school cross country will be hosting a Middle School only invitational on Friday, September 8th at Shields Farm in Delmont PA. We would like to invite your middle school runners in grades 7 and 8 to attend this invitational. This will be the first year of the invite, however, we have run invites in the past so the day should run smoothly and be filled with competition for all levels.
The course will be a flat start with two hills at the midpoint of the race, then back to a flat finish. All races will be 3K (1.86 miles) and will be well-marked with cones and white paint. It will be a course with little to no repetition and will be extremely spectator friendly. Concessions and t-shirts will be available for purchase as well.

The course opens 1 pm
Coaches meeting 2:00 pm
Boys Varsity race: 3 pm
Girls Varsity race 3:30 pm
Combined JV race 4:00 (or whenever the final girl finishes from the varsity race)
Entries: All entries must be completed on Penn-track.
Entry Fee:
$75 for Girl's Middle School Team (8 Runners)
$75 for Boys Middle School Team (8 Runners)
$4.00 for each additional runner beyond eight (unlimited entries)
$15.00 for individuals to enter without a full team.
Please fill out the form on the next page to accurately reflect the number of runners you are including for payment. The 75.00 entry fee covers your first 8 runners in each varsity race, then each remaining runner entered will be $4.00 each. This will cover the expenses of the meet including officials, awards (based on the number of entries in the races), timing services, and medical coverage.

Results will be posted on the Gingerbread Man Running Company website and on Penn Track once the races are complete.
Awards: We will have a team champion award along with race medals for each varsity race. The number of medalists will be determined based on the number of teams registered to compete.
Parking: Buses will be parked on-site in the baseball field complex parking lot. Spectators should park in the field provided and as directed by the parking workers. Runners will be crossing the road inside the park so please follow the directions of the workers on site to ensure the safety of the runners.
T-shirts will be sold and will include a Custom Fall Classic Design. We will send an email to participating teams for a pre-order to ensure the runners get the desired sizes. A limited number of shirts will be available for purchase day of the event.
